I’ve been procrastinating writing about XoJane.com’s beauty editor, Cat Marnell for a while now. Now that she’s been fired, I can’t really put it off any longer.

Have you heard of Cat Marnell? She’s that proudly drug addicted one that got all the lady bloggers in a tizzy when she declared that she preferred Plan B to all other methods of birth control?  Yeah that one. I was going to write about my love/hate relationship with the girl, but now that she’s gone why not just discuss some of her best moments OK?

In no order:

1. She’s Crack-Tractive – One of my absolute favorite things about Cat Marnell is that she’s drug addict who doesn’t sleep. Everyone’s first beauty rule is to live healthy and get lots of sleep. Therefore the girl who never sleeps and is always on some rooftop smoking dust is definitely the girl who knows the real secrets.

2. The Double Dip – Upon returning from rehab Cat Marnell posted this video explaining a groundbreaking self-tanning method. It also suggested she wasn’t actually sober. Sober people don’t brag about fights they got into with Lindsay Lohan… nobody brags about that…

3. She knows the drug store product that will make everyone want to fuck you.

4. Cat Marnell wrote my favorite piece about Whitney Houston’s death. Cat Marnell might not make the best personal decisions but she’s honest, the personal is political, and therefore she’s a feminist I guess.

5. The Cat Marnell School of dating. This is actually how you should deal with men.

These were just the tops five off the top of my head. She’s a mess, but I love her. Gonna miss ya girl!
